We have a day for giving thanks. We have two for getting deals. Now, we have #GivingTuesday, a global day dedicated to giving back. On Tuesday, November 28, 2017, charities, families, businesses, community centers, and students around the world will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give. Causeway, United Way of Greater Chattanooga, The Community Foundation of Greater Chattanooga, Generosity Trust, and The Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce, are teaming up to harness the power of #GivingTuesday locally!
It’s a simple idea. Just find a way for your family, your community, your company or your organization to come together to give something more. Then spread the word about why you are giving using the hashtags #CHAgives and #GivingTuesday. Last year, we raised over $225,000 for Chattanooga's nonprofit community in just 24 hours. Join us, as a nonprofit fundraiser, or a personal donor, to make Giving Tuesday in Chattanooga even bigger and better this year!
Causeway, the United Way, and the Community Foundation of Greater Chattanooga, are three organizations committed to working with grassroots causes and nonprofit organizations in Chattanooga every day. A donation to their collective #GivingTuesday Fund ensures that these local organizations will put your money to work for good in Chattanooga.
If you are a restaurant owner who would like to donate a portion of your proceeds to an organization on Giving Tuesday, reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
